The Chicago Bears just rejuvenated its fan base by trading up and selecting Justin Fields. I feel like a young child on Christmas morning right now. This is the guy I wanted all along and to get him at 11 instead of having to trade up into the top five is unbelievable.

Ryan Pace was able to hold onto both of the Bears Day 2 picks in the process, which speaks volumes to how great this move really is. Watching Justin Fields fall reminds me of the Deshaun Watson situation in 2017, except this time, the Chicago Bears look to be on the right side of things.

Seeing fans complain about the outcome of the first round is well, frustrating, to say the least. Look, we all know that the Chicago Bears need help on the offensive line, but there are still some great names left on the board that the team can target in the second and even third rounds. Wide receiver and cornerback are needs too, this draft has plenty to choose from.

Let’s stop for a minute and just enjoy the moment. Enjoy the fact that the Chicago Bears found a way to get one of the best quarterback prospects in this draft by not selling the farm. Russell Wilson would have been great, but this move sets the team up for a future that might finally turn this franchise around in a way we have not seen in a very, very long time (or at all depending on your age).

Who can the Chicago Bears add to surround Justin Fields and Andy Dalton?

This draft is actually setting itself up perfectly for Ryan Pace, Matt Nagy and the Chicago Bears. Looking at the first round, it honestly is looking more like a mock draft simulator outcome that we all laughed at saying it could never happen. Here is a look at players the Bears should target in the second and third rounds.
