Chicago Bears: Post-first round mock draft builds around Justin Fields

Chicago Bears Round 6, Pick No. 221
Playing alongside first-round prospect Jaycee Horn, Israel Mukuamu looks to be a great cornerback as well. He has impressive size and speed for a cornerback as he stands at 6′ 4″. He additionally has a crazy wingspan that covers a ton of range. He has a lot of impressive traits and flashes, but he truly has never put it all together as he shows fear as a tackler and displays average instincts. He also has the versatility to play safety as well.
With the release of Kyle Fuller and the addition of Desmond Trufant, the Bears need cornerback help. Trufant might be a band-aid over a bigger issue, but with Trufant’s injury concerns and Jaylon Johnson’s shoulder issues as well, the Bears could be in trouble if both go down. They have solid depth in Tre Roberson, Artie Burns, and Kindle Vildor, but they may want a developmental project.
Chicago Bears Round 6, Pick No. 228
Jack Anderson is an underrated interior offensive lineman from Texas Tech who offers versatility to play both guard and center, a trait that is highly sought after. He has great size and quickness to develop into a solid lineman. Anderson displays poor technique most of the time and gets out of control, so he seems like he will be a project, but his traits are desirable. He was a four-year starter for the Red Raiders earning multiple All-Big 12 honors.
Sam Mustipher is an okay center, but he needs competition for the starting job. Anderson is just that as he is immediate competition for Mustipher and he is valuable depth as he can play anywhere on the interior of the offensive line. Given his size, he could develop into a great center if Juan Castillo can clean up his sloppy tendencies.
