Charles Snowden, LB, Virginia

Charles Snowden is the most interesting prospect that the Chicago Bears have inked with a UDFA tag. Snowden is very unique, and you will not find many players with the size, and length that he has.

He is a long-player, who is 6’6″, however, he is long and lanky for his size, and is just 243 pounds. Snowden is the definition of a tweener. He is a bit too long-limbed to be a coverage linebacker but does not have the mass and strength to hang against the run on the edge. Beyond that, a player with basketball-size was a basketball player who did not play much football. He comes in raw.

Still, in a special role, his movement skills can be taken advantage of. As an overhang player, he is fluid enough to defend the flats and also poses as a blizter in space.

Still, he can make the roster because of special teams. He has a blocked punt and kicks during his career, and that size becomes very valuable in special teams situations. If he has a job this summer, look for him to find it extending his arms to block kicks.
