Chicago Bears wide receiver Anthony Miller should be feeling some pressure

Even before the draft, the Bears were rumored to have been looking for a trade partner for wide receiver Anthony Miller. So, there should have already been some pressure on his shoulders. Miller can’t be that naive.

One of the main reasons the Bears are looking to get rid of Miller is due to his attitude. Since entering the league, he’s been a bit of a hothead and last year proved as much when he was ejected in the playoff game versus the New Orleans Saints.

After that point, the Bears brass wasn’t too happy with Miller.

This year’s draft now makes things even more interesting for him. In the sixth round, the Bears drafted North Carolina wideout Dazz Newsome, who fits the slot role to perfection. At first glance, the average fan may not think much of a sixth-round pick. But, Newsome is not your average late-round pick.

Newsome should not have been available at that point. In fact, many outlets had him as a Round 3 or 4 talent. The fact the Bears got him in the sixth is an outstanding value. He’s a player who needs to see the field. The Bears can’t afford to hide him away as they have done with Riley Ridley.

He’s going to see the field, and he might take Miller’s job. Talk about pressure, Miller is feeling it.
