3. Desmond Trufant, and Duke Shelley

This is no disrespect to Thomas Graham, who has intriguing traits of his own. However, he is not going to be competing to start, at least not by the first week of 2021. When the Chicago Bears let Kyle Fuller go it opened a realistic chance for the team to draft his long-term replacement.

However, the way that the board broke the team was able to get a quarterback and offensive line with their big picks. Trufant is older and injury-prone now, and Shelley struggled in his first real game reps.

With that in mind, it is no surprise the team drafted a cornerback at some point. They needed to bring something more to the room. Still, the Bears are going to start in Trufant and Shelley in week one unless something changes between now and then.
