The Chicago Bears are a team now full of hope. Surprising, I know. The problem is, the window is still not wide open for this team as plenty of question marks still remain. Not to mention, the defense is starting to hit a point where age is going to play a factor.

Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy have given us excitement with the Bears 2021 NFL Draft results. We better not hear about how awful of a selection it was for the Bears to trade up for Justin Fields. I know there will be some out there that believe the team made a mistake once again. Even if Fields fails to live up to expectations, it was still the right move to make. The same could be said for trading up and selecting Teven Jenkins. Two first-round graded players are now on this team.

If we look at the current roster, I doubt many, if any, believe this team is Super Bowl bound. Later today we will know the full schedule for the Chicago Bears. We already know the teams the Bears are facing, the schedule will just give us more details on dates and times when the team will face those opponents. Not that it will matter a great deal, the opponents are what truly matter and we already know the Bears will have a tough schedule this season.

Right now, the Chicago Bears are strapped for salary cap room even with the pending release of Charles Leno. I say pending only because he is a post-June 1st cut. He is gone and the money saved by releasing him will cover the team’s draft picks, but that’s about it. This should not stop Ryan Pace from trying to finalize the roster. While attempting to give the Chicago Bears the best roster possible, Ryan Pace should make these four moves.
