Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers
In what will likely be a primetime showdown at Soldier Field, this matchup is interesting for several reasons. The possibility of a rare Jordan Love sighting is enticing, particularly if the rumors of an Aaron Rodgers holdout hold any weight. Although the Packers have made virtually no offseason additions, with the exceptions of their draft picks, they have managed to keep most of their core players intact and will prove to be as dangerous as ever.
The last time these teams met at Soldier Field, the playoff-bound Packers were attempting to clinch the first seed in the NFC. The Bears, holding on to a meager 8-7 record, simply hoped to make the playoffs. The game ended in a disappointing blowout as Aaron Rodgers threw 4 TDs to lead the Pack to a 35-16 win.
This next meeting, on the other hand, should prove far more even-sided. The Bears have made a half-dozen key additions in weak areas, including the ever-present quarterback issue. Regardless of whether Dalton or Fields starts, the Bears will look for revenge over the absolute bullying they have received from their long-time rivals over the past decade.
