1. The Chicago Bears could see their bitter rival acquire an underrated weapon

The Philadelphia Eagles were ready and willing to move veteran tight end, Zach Ertz, before the draft. Ertz was not dealt, though, yet he still remains as a possible trade or cut candidate.

One team that makes a lot of sense for Ertz is the Green Bay Packers, who have struggled to find a legitimate No 1 tight end for a few years now. Robert Tonyan gave the Packers a fantastic season last year, and Ertz would only bolster that tight end room further. Tonyan burst onto the scene with 11 receiving touchdowns, becoming one of Aaron Rodgers’ favorite red zone targets along with Davante Adams.

Should the Packers opt to trade for Ertz, they could use a lot of two tight end sets and give Rodgers another security blanket on crucial downs.

Not only would the Packers benefit from an Ertz trade, but so would the Minnesota Vikings. Irv Smith Jr. is now their number one tight end after they parted ways with long-time Viking Kyle Rudolph. Behind Smith is Tyler Conklin, who doesn’t exactly pose much of a threat. Ertz would give the Vikings a veteran presence as they had in Rudolph, and allow Kirk Cousins one more weapon in his arsenal.
