Well, the Atlanta Falcons have lost the interest of their superstar wide receiver, but that is not my campaign for the Chicago Bears to go after Julio Jones. In fact, I have three reasons why the Chicago Bears should not go after the All-Pro receiver.

There are obvious reasons why Julio Jones would add an instant upgrade into most, if not all NFL offenses, but that doesn’t come without its own baggage.

Julio Jones is someone that will make his next home happy, but it comes at a cost– and a hefty one at that.

As many NFL fans nationwide heard and watched, Julio Jones wants out of Atlanta. Now, it’s easy to say why when you point out the goose egg in Jones’ Super Bowl wins category. During Jones’ phone call with Shannon Sharp on Undisputed, Julio Jones said, “I’m out of there, man… I want to win.”

Since this phone call, there have been lots of theories on what Julio Jones meant when he said this, but according to Jones himself, the Cowboys are not one of those teams.

Once Julio Jones broke into the league, he’s been a superstar. According to Pro Football Reference, Julio Jones has 848 career receptions (29th all-time); 12,896 receiving yards (20th all-time), and 60 receiving touchdowns (T-88th all-time).

With that type of production, why shouldn’t the Chicago Bears go after Julio Jones?
