It’s a tad too soon to put Chicago Bears as Super Bowl contenders

In Julio Jones’ call with Shannon Sharp on Undisputed, one of the main parts that people put weight onto is his want to win.

In the context of that phone call, it meant Jones wants to go on a team that can win a Super Bowl as soon as possible. Unfortunately for Bears fans that want a Julio Jones trade to the Bears, it might be a season or so too soon to call this team Super Bowl contenders.

Yes, the Chicago Bears have weapons on both sides of the ball, but they’re not a complete team yet. With teams like the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buffalo Bills, and Tennessee Titans, there are plenty of teams that are one weapon away from a Super Bowl championship.

Also, the Chicago Bears aren’t one wide receiver away from being contenders either. If the current roster wants to win a Super Bowl this year, there are a lot of Buffalo Wild Wings phone calls that need to be made. Even without the idea of bringing in Jones’ contract, this is another reason that the Chicago Bears should not trade for Julio Jones.
