The Chicago Bears could opt to cut Anthony Miller

Lastly, one of the more notable names the Bears could still choose to cut is veteran wideout, Anthony Miller. His name has been one of the bigger storylines of the offseason, as the team has already attempted to trade him.

Receivers coach Mike Furrey has made it pretty clear that the Bears don’t “need” Miller. If you haven’t read that quote yet, you can read the conversation here.

As we’ve already established, the Bears have plenty of competition at receiver already. The one major thing keeping Miller on the roster, right now, is the fact that the rookie Newsome is hurt and will be out a couple of months.

But, as the season draws near, Chicago’s receiving core could look much different. The team could choose to cut both Miller and Ridley, or one of the two at the very least. There will not be enough room for the Bears to keep all these guys, and if we know Nagy, he loves speed. There’s a good chance both Goodwin and Byrd make this roster, and if they do, Miller is in grave danger of being cut.
