Chicago Bears Free Agent Target: Morgan Moses, Offensive Tackle, WFT

Over the last few seasons, Morgan Moses has been a reliable right tackle for the Washington Football Team. He was released this offseason to save money similar to Steven Nelson. Moses came in for a visit with the Bears and the Bears reportedly are still interested in him.

Moses joined the Washington Football Team back in 2014 and has not missed a regular-season game since 2015. He has always been solid for them, but in 2020, he had a career season as PFF graded him an 80.6 for his efforts in Washington. Moses filled in at left tackle with injuries to the rest of his team, but he is primarily a right tackle.

The Bears moved on from their two offensive tackles this offseason in both Charles Leno and Bobby Massie. Both were too much of a cap hit to keep on the roster and releasing them saved the Bears a good amount of money.

Rookie Teven Jenkins and former first-round pick Germain Ifedi are currently slotted in at left tackle and right tackle respectively. Jenkins may struggle because he’s mainly a right tackle and a rookie. Ifedi was a horrible right tackle in Seattle, so he may struggle as well. Moses could beat Ifedi out and move Ifedi to right guard or keep either of them as needed depth. Regardless, he’d be a great fit here.
