5 early winners at Chicago Bears OTAs

3. Marquise Goodwin and Damiere Byrd
The Chicago Bears depth at wide receiver has questions all over the place. Two players who may be stepping into those shoes are Goodwin and Byrd. Goodwin has been working out with Justin Fields all offseason, and in the locker room has acted like a veteran leader. When speaking about Anthony Miller, Javon Wims, and Riley Ridley you are not talking about that same idea.
Goodwin has emerged as a potential roster lock, and Byrd is not far behind him. He put up stats for the Patriots last year, and early into OTAs became a favorite downfield target for Justin Fields.
Highlight of Bears OTAs today was a Justin Fields deep ball for a TD to Damiere Byrd. Attendance today was similar to last week: Tashaun Gipson joined Roquan Smith as only starters on D. Most of offense was there, with Allen Robinson, Nick Foles, Jimmy Graham notable exceptions.

Considering Allen Robinson and Darnell Mooney are the only roster locks, you could be looking at the third and fourth wide receiver for Chicago with Goodwin and Byrd. All of a sudden Miller, Wims, and Ridley have their heads on alert heading into camp.
