Chicago Bears quarterback Andy Dalton saw his 2021 fantasy value drop

Andy Dalton is only worth owning in dynasty leagues and 2QB leagues. If you don’t know what a 2QB league is, well, it’s exactly as it sounds. You play two quarterbacks each week. A Super-Flex league can also be considered a 2QB league as well. Even in these leagues, I believe Dalton’s value is going to be very, very minimal.

Dalton is worth hanging onto in dynasty leagues because he is on a one-year contract and could easily see himself on a new team with another opportunity in 2022. However, as of right now, I am predicting the most we see Andy Dalton is for four games this season. I believe that Justin Fields forces Matt Nagy’s hand and Dalton ends up only playing more than four games should an injury occur.

That would be a tough blow to anyone who believes Dalton could be their fantasy quarterback this season. Obviously, you can play him as long as he is starting, but even then he’s not going to be anything better than what we saw in Chicago with Trubisky and Foles. Alright, maybe slightly better, but what does that make him — the 15th best quarterback at best? More likely in the late teens to early 20s.
