As we count down to training camp we will be counting down the Chicago Bears roster. This list will reflect which players will be providing the most value to the Bears in 2021. This is for the 2021 season only and about that individual player and how his success affects the team.

With that in mind, we will look at players 85-81 today.

85. Daniel Archibong, DL

Archibong is a defensve lineman from Temple. He will be a rookie this year after signing as a UDFA and making it through OTAs. Here is his draft profile from NFL.com. Ryan Pace has had success with these UDFA 3-technique linemen so you have to trust his eyes and development.

84. Scooter Harrington, TE

Harrington signed as a UDFA from Stanford. He will be a rookie this year. The tight end depth chart being thin pushes him above some of the other UDFAs. There also could be some helmet bias thinking a tight end from Stanford has a better shot than a DT from Temple.

83. Chris Lacy, WR

It is not a long and prominent career, but Lacy has made an NFL roster. In 2018 and 2019 Lacy was with Detroit and while it is not much, he had 3 catches for 60 yards. He spent 2020 on the Cowboys practice squad. His NFL experience puts him above some, but he will have just as hard of a time making an impact.

82. Dionte Ruffin, CB

Ruffin is a UDFA from Western Kentucky. He stands above a few others mainly because he excelled on special teams at WKU. Most players have to learn special teams after being college starters, but he has blocked kicks and played multiple phases.

81. Rodney Adams, WR

Adams has bounced around the NFL since 2017. He is at least interesting in the context of the Chicago Bears because he spent 2020 on their practice squad and is now back for another season.

On one hand, he has a leg up on others, on the other he is older and the Chicago Bears did a lot of work to overhaul their wide receiver room that he was a part of.
