Chicago Bears: 3 realistic trade packages for N’Keal Harry
By Ryan Heckman
The Chicago Bears could get creative in a trade for N’Keal Harry
Lastly, the Bears could get a bit creative in a quest to land N’Keal Harry. Next year, Chicago is already without some picks due to their big trades in the 2021 NFL Draft. But, they could look at sending a pick in the following year’s draft.
If they do so, it would have to be a little more attractive of a pick to the Patriots. Instead of a later round, the Bears would include a single pick in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
However, that one pick would also be conditional just like the previous trade’s pick. It’s a higher pick, thus there would definitely need to be some serious conditions in place. The last time the Bears gave away a valuable fourth-rounder, it was for a few games of the statue that is Nick Foles.
The conditions for this pick would be something along the lines of a two-year period — since that’s a big part of Harry’s agent requesting a trade in the first place. If Harry tops 150 targets combined in the 2021 and 2022 seasons, then the pick goes to the Patriots.
If the conditions are not met, however, then that fourth-rounder turns into a sixth-rounder for the Patriots. It seems like a pretty fair deal since 75 targets per season would nearly be doubling his target share over his first two NFL seasons.
