With the countdown to training camp underway, we are onto number 22 overall in our ranking of the top 90 players on the Chicago Bears roster.

This list is ranking how impactful these players will be to the 2021 roster, and what the best and worst cases could end up being for the team based on the results of these players.

No. 22, Chicago Bears OLB Jeremiah Attaochu

With 11 starters are each side of the ball the top 22 players would essentially be getting the starter treatment. Or at least, their impact would be of that for this exercise. That may surprise some to see Jeremiah Attaochu in here, but when you break it down you should expect a lot from him.

The Bears used a platoon with Barkevious Mingo and Robert Quinn last season and with Mingo gone, it is more likely that Attaochu takes that role, than Quinn becomes a full time player.

In fact, with the move to Sean Desai as defensive coordinator, Quinn does not do much of what edge rushers typically do, while Attaochu worked with Vic Fangio last season and is a fit in a defense where edge rushers move off of the ball more freely.

Players such as Mario Edwards, Jeremiah Attaochu and Christian Jones were all in the top 30 and are all going to be cutting into snaps that typically would have been designed for Robert Quinn, or the second edge rusher.

At this point, Attaochu is likely to lead the group in snaps, followed by Edwards then Jones. However, all three are going to be much more in the mix on defense than some fans think.
