2021 Chicago Bears roster rank No. 19: What is expected from Eddie Goldman?
The countdown of the top 90 Chicago Bears continues and we are all the way into our top 20 at number 19. Keep in mind our list is focusing on the 2021 season and what is expected from these players as well as how likely they are to meet the expectations for them.
With that in mind, who is the 19th most valuable player in Chicago this year?
No. 19 Chicago Bears Nose Tackle Eddie Goldman

Eddie Goldman had been ascending up our list every season until he stuck at number last year. We did our list just before he decided to opt-out, so we saw just what we thought the team was going to get out of Goldman and that was a top 10 player on their roster.
They managed without Goldman, and even with OTAs that saw no Goldman, the team is prepared to not have him. Of course, this is a player who still is cracking our list because he is that talented, and if they can get him going then he is worth the ranking and should be higher. The risk baked in is that he is no longer that top 10 player on this roster.
Beyond that, they signed Mike Pennel and drafted Khyiris Tonga, two nose tackles who could fill in if Goldman shows up in bad condition or if anything unforeseen happens.
The fact that the team is less reliant on him helps bring him closer to 20 than 10 overall. Still, this is a guy who could give us a nice surprise and find himself near 10 as we enter the 2022 season.
