3. Germain Ifedi
This would be the most pleasant surprise for the group. The Chicago Bears offensive line is starting to come together with homegrown talent, but they are not quite set at right tackle. Currently, it is Ifedi and a fifth-round rookie Larry Borom competing for the job.
As much as fans are excited about Borom being drafted there are low expectations for him in his rookie season. Ifedi is going to get the chance to redeem himself after struggles with Seattle.
The timing would not be better, either. After signing a one-year, $5 million deal this feels as though it is made or break time.
If he makes it at right tackle, he could easily double his salary and double the years, if not add longer security. On the flip side, a poor season that ends with him being replaced by a day three rookie would mean that Ifedi will likely have seen his last contract that is beyond year-to-year.
