Xavier Crawford is also probably on the Chicago Bears roster bubble

A player on the roster who does not have as much hype, but contributed to special teams in 2020, is Xavier Crawford. Crawford was a sixth-round draft pick of the Houston Texans in 2019. After playing four games for the Texans, he was waived. The Dolphins picked Crawford up off waivers and he spent the rest of his season bouncing on and off the Dolphins’ practice squad.

Last season, the Chicago Bears signed Crawford to a futures/reserve contract. He was able to make the active roster, and he played on one percent of the defensive snaps and eight percent of the special team’s snaps.

The Chicago Bears kept five cornerbacks on the roster last season. It is doubtful that they keep any more than that again this season. With Tre Roberson likely on the bubble, Xavier Crawford should be also.
