2021 Chicago Bears Roster Rank No. 13: James Daniels
The ranking of the Chicago Bears roster has gotten all the way to number 13. We started at number 90 and have worked our way down the Chicago Bears roster to see who the most valuable players are, and how they fit into the 2021 landscape.
This list focuses solely on how important their performance in 2021 is and what they can provide to the Bears.
With that in mind, who is number 13?
No. 13 Chicago Bears OL James Daniels
Some fans may not remember but the ranking of number 10 last year says it all for James Daniels. This is a potential top 10 player, and the only thing that held him back from living up to the hype in 2020 was his injury.
In fact, while it was very early into his 2020 season the start was looking to be the best season we have seen from James Daniels. It looked like the run scheme combined with less thinking and more reacting caused Daniels to break out.
Of course, we will never know if he would have lasted the whole year playing so well, and now he has to come back healthier than ever off of an ACL. Still, that is what pushes him from a top 10 player to number 13.
James Daniels now comes into 2021 expected to start at guard with Sam Mustipher at center and Cody Whitehair at guard. If the three can come together and form a sturdy trio we could really see the value of Daniels and what he can do to the running game.
