Chicago Bears: 5 Players who could lose depth chart positions at camp
The Chicago Bears are kicking off training camp today. We have already seen a big change take place this week when Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy traded Anthony Miller to the Houston Texans. I am on record stating that this move could turn out to be a big mistake. Part of that thought process was due to the idea that the team was moving Miller along with a late-round pick in exchange for another late-round pick.
Well, Reports came out today about the details of the trade. I am not happy with the outcome seeing Ryan Pace traded up to select Anthony Miller in the second round and now is not even acquiring another pick in a year the Chicago Bears will only have five picks. I will say that I am happy to hear that they are moving up from the seventh round to the fifth round in the deal. When I heard that it was a late-round swap, that was my hope, but thought it would be a sixth for a fifth.
To stop this from being only about the Anthony Miller trade, I will just say that Miller would have easily been on this list. There were talks that if the team could not trade him, Miller would end up being the fourth or fifth option if he made the final roster. Personally, I think Miller has plenty of talent, but it sounds like he has some mental blocks stopping him from becoming a top receiver in the NFL. Now it’s possible a different receiver (or two) makes the list.
