8. Chicago Bears CB Jaylon Johnson

There can be an argument that Akiem Hicks should be eight here and that Jaylon Johnson should be nine. Johnson came onto the scene quickly last season but as the year went on he started to lose some steam. Then, by the end of the year, he was missing games with a serious shoulder injury.

So, Johnson still has to prove a little more. However, where the roster, the impact of Johnson will greatly impact the Bears defense more than Hicks.

The reality is that this comes down to depth. The Bears have Nichols, and Eddie Goldman, and Mario Edwards, and even added Angelo Blackson and Mike Pennel. They have depth and talent. The cornerbacks are reliant on Johnson being the man.

If Johnson has a bad season, teams are picking on all of their corners. He has to be the one that teams respect. Johnson has shoulder issues and Desmond Trufant has injuries as well which leaves the Bears too close to being bare at corner. They are heavily reliant on Jaylon Johnson which has to shoot him to number 8.
