Regardless of who is playing quarterback for the Chicago Bears, it’s typical that position receives all the attention. With two new signal-callers in Andy Dalton and Justin Fields, it makes sense that the quarterback talk has dominated the headlines at training camp. Even Nick Foles has had a few mentions as he dominates the third-string defense.

However, on Day 3 of training camp (Day 2 of open practices), it was the Chicago Bears‘ defense that stole the show. From the first-team unit to the third-stringers, first-year defensive coordinator Sean Desai’s defense flew around and made plays throughout the entire practice.

The Chicago Bears defense definitely stole the show at Friday’s practice

And the defensive players weren’t shy about letting the offense know that the unit was in control.

So, who stood out on defense? You will have to listen to the podcast to find out.

Despite the defense having a good practice, there were still plenty of offensive players that made good impressions — including Justin Fields who also had the throw of the day.

Also in this episode, Nicholas Moreano highlights how the offensive line is doing without the starting offensive tackles in Teven Jenkins and Germain Ifedi. Moreano also gives his impressions of how running backs David Montgomery and Damien Williams have looked so far in camp.

There is also a mention on kicker Cairo Santos’ day.
