The Chicago Bears are one week into training camp and there is not much to report on since the team limits how much information goes out the doors at Halas Hall. What we know for sure based on fans leaking information and some of the reports from Bears insiders is that Andy Dalton has looked every bit the experienced professional. Justin Fields has looked like a rookie, but one with poise and confidence.

Injuries have been a concern too. Teven Jenkins has not been a participant in practices due to back soreness. Eddie Jackson and Germain Ifedi have also missed time. This opens up opportunities for guys like Deon Bush who came away with the only interception at the last practice. The interception was off Andy Dalton and brought out the Sean Desai turnover bucket.

It was nice of the Chicago Bears to share this video with the world, but this is not a very common theme surrounding training camp. Instead, Bears insiders have to resort to ridiculous attempts at drawing a picture for fans to understand what is going on. No, I mean a legit picture, not one with their words.

At this point in training camp, the defense has stood out more than the offense. It is not that the offense has been bad, but the defense has just been looking great. In fact, some players are so excited about what they have seen from Sean Desai’s defensive schemes those who have been around since 2018 said it feels like that season again. Seeing the Chicago Bears’ defense was a historic one that season, let us hope they are correct.

It should be important to point out though that the Chicago Bears are without both of their starting offensive tackles. This is a big concern for one, but also probably a big reason why Khalil Mack and Robert Quinn have been in the backfield so much this past week. As training camp continues, there are some players that fans must keep an eye on — especially if attending.
