2. Defensive Line

The defensive line is the deepest group that the Chicago Bears have. However, there will be plenty to sort out. That starts with the top three. Akiem Hicks, Eddie Goldman, and Bilal Nichols will share the work as the top DL on the roster, but the order in which they are deployed is questionable.

Nichols is ascending into his prime while Hicks is often injured and needs to be eased in. The two could see their roles flip. On the inside is Goldman who is coming back from opting out. We will see what type of shape he is in.

To help ease the Goldman concerns the Bears drafted Khyris Tonga and signed Mike Pennel. If Goldman is fine, there is likely just one job for the two to fight over. Lastly, the team has Mario Edwards and Angelo Blackson who should contribute and make for an exciting camp altogether. Seven names could be mixed and jumbled, and only six will make the roster.
