Chicago Bears Running Back: Damien Williams
When fans think of “versatile Chicago Bears’ running backs”, the first player that comes to mind is Tarik Cohen. With Cohen out, Damien Williams has stepped into his role and has shown what he can do in doing so. He has shined thus far at training camp and could be earning himself a big role in this offense.

Williams last played in the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl win in 2020. He tore it up in the Super Bowl accounting for two touchdowns in their win over the San Francisco 49ers. Many NFL fans even believed he deserved the Super Bowl MVP over Patrick Mahomes for his numbers and the importance of his second touchdown.
Williams was brought in likely for Cohen insurance given his ACL injury in 2020. He additionally replaced Cordarrelle Patterson as the spell-back for David Montgomery giving him breaks between the tackles.
During camp, Williams has lit it up. He had the highlight of training camp on Saturday with him beating Roquan Smith, an elite coverage linebacker, deep for a touchdown toss from Andy Dalton. He made an incredible catch and showed impressive speed. He additionally has shown shiftiness and twitchiness like he never even opted out of 2020.
