Chicago Bears Wide Receiver: Marquise Goodwin
As stated earlier, we have seen a shift in the Bears adding more explosive weapons to their offense. That started the last offseason with the addition of Darnell Mooney in the fifth round. Now, the Bears added more to their offense with Marquise Goodwin, Damiere Byrd, and Dazz Newsome.
Like Williams, Goodwin opted out of the 2020 season. Goodwin got traded to the Philadelphia Eagles before the 2020 season, but due to him opting out, he went back to the San Francisco 49ers. They then cut him. Now, Goodwin is back for 2021 and playing and he is just as explosive as he used to be.
The speedster and star long-jumper always posts impressive yards per reception numbers. He now adds another deep threat and potential return specialist for the 2021 season. Goodwin can likely now step into the slot wide receiver role and replace Miller if he beats out Damiere Byrd.
Goodwin has looked spectacular at training camp making impressive deep catches from Andy Dalton and Justin Fields multiple times. He’s not only burning cornerbacks, but he is additionally winning jump balls as well. Goodwin is additionally getting praise from the coaching staff as well for his leadership and ability. He could be a force this season.
