The Chicago Bears couldn’t beat out the Packers

Green Bay Packers: 19th overall, 2nd in NFC North

Before any Packers fans come to my doorstep with torches and pitchforks, I didn’t make this list– and the maker of the list is a very nice person, so don’t do it to them either.

I don’t think this is that off in terms of who they have on their roster. Considering Davante Adams is considered one of the best wide receivers in football by many, including myself, it’s interesting to see who they have once you remove Adams.

Green Bay Packers wide receivers

  • Davante Adams (92.2 2020 PFF Grade)
  • Allen Lazard (71.7 2020 PFF Grade)
  • Randall “The Chicago Bears Killer”  Cobb (71.6 2020 PFF Grade)
  • Marquez Valdes-Scantling (57.7 2020 PFF Grade)

While Adams has some mid-level help, it’s apparent why they’re not the best wide receiver group in the NFC North. Davante Adams can only do so much, and even if it’s enough to rank him as high as he is, there has to be someone else who can step up and provide similar results.

With that said, similarly to the Detroit Lions and T.J. Hockenson, the Green Bay Packers have someone in a somewhat similar case with Robert Tonyan. In the 2020 season, Tonyan scored a 68.0 PFF grade. I say somewhat similar to Hockenson, as Hock scored a 75.5 PFF grade.

Now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for and can now figure out due to deductive reasoning: Who is the No. 1 team in the NFC North in terms of wide receivers?
