There are a few notable mentions of Chicago Bears whose stock has dropped

When looking at the rest of the roster, only two other names stand out to me as guys who had originally looked to be making the team, however with training camp developments or added free agents, now they could see themselves on the outs. Outs might be too strong of a word, but they could see themselves pushed to the practice squad.

Josh Woods, ILB

Just like Joel Iyiegbuniwe, Josh Woods could be on the outs here in Chicago. He has special teams experience, but it’s not as much as Iyiegbuniwe. He saw 60 percent and 35 percent of the team’s special teams snaps over the last two years.

Expectations might not have been high for Woods, but he is definitely a candidate to be cut or thrown on the practice squad.

Dazz Newsome, WR

Many people had high expectations for Dazz Newsome after being drafted in the sixth round this season. This was partly due to seeing how well Darnell Mooney did as a fifth-round pick in 2020. Newsome looked good in OTAs prior to him breaking his collarbone. He lost some time and missed part of the training camp, but is now back. The problem for Newsome is that other receivers have jumped out ahead of him from a training camp performance perspective.

Will they earn a spot ahead of him? Maybe. The worst-case scenario is Newsome will end up on the practice squad.
