3. Lachavious Simmons at RT

Again, with Germain Ifedi out, this is what the Bears are dealing with. Still, it has to be brought up because Ifedi is injured and has struggled at right tackle in past years. The Bears are counting on him, but he provides little reason to bet big.

With that in mind, the backup right tackle is going to be necessary. So far, that role has gone to Lachavious Simmons. Simmons was expected to switch to guard after being drafted as a tackle out of Tennessee State. However, considering the depth at tackle, the team has called upon him again.

On the left side are Elijah Wilkerson and Teven Jenkins. Both could be trusted ahead of Simmions, but Jenkins is the future at left tackle, and until Jenkins is ready, Wilkerson must start at left tackle. That leaves the Bears with Simmons on the right side.
