Chicago Bears Wide Receiver — Riley Ridley

Coming out of Georgia in 2018, Riley Ridley was touted as a steal in the NFL Draft. Ridley’s route-running ability was considered arguably the best in the class despite falling to the Bears in the fourth round. Since then though, Ridley has only caught 10 passes and hardly seen the field.

Ridley has looked solid in his limited time, but for some reason, head coach Matt Nagy has kept him inactive for most of his NFL career and hardly letting him play. He was drafted as a big-slot wide receiver for the Bears and considered to be a mismatch given his reliable hands and size on slot cornerbacks.

On the first unofficial depth chart, Ridley has passed Javon Wims and perhaps may have led to Wims eventually getting released. Ridley has some work to do, but he should get some valuable time now in the preseason as he is healthy and not a starter as Nagy said the starters won’t get much playing time. Could Ridley finally show Nagy what he can do?
