The Bears’ first preseason game against the Dolphins didn’t start off great, but the Chicago Bears rallied back to defeat Miami 20-13. More importantly, there were several Bears players that capitalized on this first preseason game to show the coaching staffing what they are capable of. Also important, the Chicago Bears came away relatively healthy.

The Chicago Bears lean on Justin Fields in 20-13 victory over the Dolphins

One of those players was rookie quarterback Justin Fields. Justin Fields was drafted by Ryan Pace in the 2021 NFL Draft by trading up with the New York Giants from 20th overall to 11th overall. The highly-anticipated rookie’s debut didn’t go as planned early on, but Fields continued to make plays and led Chicago’s offense to three scoring drives.

Listen as the entire Chicago Audible crew breaks down the game, specifically Justin Fields’ day, and what it could mean for the team going forward.

Also in the episode, the guys give their thoughts on some other players who raised their stock and some who didn’t, including some defensive players who are fighting for a starting spot and players on the offensive line that played significant minutes in Saturday’s game. With multiple positional battles going on, every rep and opportunity matters. Who took advantage of those opportunities?

And with this being the first postgame show of the year, The Chicago Audible brings back the “Monster Moment” and each guy gives their “Most Valuable Bear” of the game.
