1. Rodney Adams

One of the bigger surprises from the first preseason game was Rodney Adams. While eyes were on Damiere Byrd, Javon Wims, and Riley Ridley it may be Adams who is ahead of all three. Sure, he is the bigger unknown of the three but he played the most on Saturday and performed better than the three combined. Considering the Bears may keep one, or two of Wims, Ridley, and Byrd it has to be good news that Adams has spent a few weeks standing out over these names now.

Adams has bounced around the NFL, so it is not like he is an unknown that the Bears are trying to learn more about. They are giving him the reps because he is earning them.

One big game does not mean much, and Andy Dalton as well as Justin Fields will play more. Who the Bears line up at WR for both of these QBs is huge. How much time does Adams get compared to Wims, Ridley, and Byrd? At some point, these three have to win the job, and resting in the preseason will not do it.
