Now that we are two weeks into the preseason we should have a pretty firm idea of who will be making the Chicago Bears 53-man roster. We did our projection last week, but have a few changes to be made. They will be highlighted below.

Quarterback (3)

Andy Dalton, Justin Fields, Nick Foles

No changes here.

Running Back (4)

David Montgomery, Damien Williams, Khalil Herbert, Tarik Cohen

Ryan Nall and CJ Marable could find themselves in the practice squad discussion.

Wide Receiver (6)

Allen Robinson, Marquise Goodwin, Darnell Mooney, Damiere Byrd, Dazz Newsome, Rodney Adams

Rodney Adams is added to the group here, and rightfully so. His splash plays would be hard to ignore if the coaches are preaching competition and winning jobs on the field.

Tight End (4)

Cole Kmet, Jimmy Graham, Jesse James, JP Holtz

This is the same group.

Offensive Line (9)

Jason Peters, Cody Whitehair, Sam Mustipher, James Daniels, Lachavious Simmons, Germain Ifedi, Larry Borom, Alex Bars, Arlington Hambright

Teven Jenkins will have to be slipped through if he wants to play in 2021, but he may end up on the IR. Players can return from IR, but need to make the initial 53-man first.

Either way, with him out, we added another WR. We also dropped Elijah Wilkinson and added Lachavious Simmons. Simmons added depth at RT with Borom playing LT. Wilkinson has shown nothing worth keeping him in two weeks.

Defensive Line (6)

Akiem Hicks, Bilal Nichols, Eddie Goldman, Angelo Blackson, Mario Edwards, Khyris Tonga

This group looks to be locked in.

Edge Rushers (4)

Khalil Mack, Robert Quinn, Jeremiah Attachou, Trevis Gipson

Charles Snowden appears to be the sleeper in camp that fans think will not clear waivers. Like every time this happened before, he will be just fine and will be on the practice squad.

Linebackers (4)

Roquan Smith, Danny Trevathan, Alec Ogletree, Christian Jones

Joel Iyiegbuniwe brings more than Alec Ogletree on special teams. Could he make it?

dark. Next. 5 winners from preseason week 2

Defensive Backs (10)

Eddie Jackson, Tashaun Gipson, DeAndre Houston-Carson, Deon Bush, Marqui Christian, Kindle Vildor, Desmond Trufant, Duke Shelley, Jaylon Johnson, Artie Burns

Christian has proven versatile and adds special teams value they may lose from Iggy. Artie Burns jumped right in after multiple injuries and looks to be the next corner up.

Specialists (3)

Pat O Donnell, Cairo Santos, Patrick Scales.
