Wide Receiver

We are starting to see how wide receiver is shaking out but once again there is a chance for final movers. Overall it looks as though Allen Robinson, Darnell Mooney, and Marquise Goodwin will be the top three WRs in snaps.

This is going to leave the team with two or three open spots. Damiere Byrd, Riley Ridley, Javon Wims, Dazz Newsome, and Rodney Adams are five players left to compete for those last two spots.

Wims went from outside to inside really quick and his injury this offseason is not helping his case. He is not getting on the field. Newsome made his debut last week after an injury in OTAs. He returned punts but did not flash in any big way.

Adams did flash and may have put himself on the roster. His workload and how he performs this weekend will tell you his status.

Lastly is Ridley and Byrd who have played, but not much. Beyond that neither has made much noise. If Adams is the top name of the group, these two may be competing for the last spot, unless they do not feel they can get Newsome to the Practice Squad.
