2. Chicago Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson will earn All-Pro honors

This might look like the boldest take of them all here, but it really isn’t. In fact, if Jaylon Johnson doesn’t earn at least a Pro Bowl trip, I would be shocked. After the level he played at as a rookie, Johnson should be taking a huge leap in Year 2.

After 11 weeks last year, many Bears fans were impressed to learn that Johnson led all rookies in total pass breakups with 11 total. However, through Week 14, Johnson accomplished an even bigger feat. He led the entire NFL in pass breakups with 13.

Unfortunately, he missed the last three games of the season and fell short of keeping the league lead. But, chances are if he stayed healthy, Johnson would have led the NFL in that category.

Now, Johnson is the main man in Chicago. He’s CB1, therefore he is going to be counted upon to play like it. Without Kyle Fuller, the pressure is on Johnson to take what’s left of this cornerback room and make the best of it. If Johnson has a big season, then he’ll be able to mask a lot of the mediocrity behind him on the depth chart.
