Key matchups No. 2 and No. 3: Chicago Bears vs Cincinnati Bengals

2. Jaylon Johnson vs Ja’Marr Chase

This one should be fun to watch. Ja’Marr Chase had a very solid debut this past Sunday for the Bengals. After hearing all types of criticism throughout the preseason, it was a pleasure to see the rookie show out on Sunday.

The Bengals have high hopes for Chase as their WR1 of the future. The Bears have similar hopes for Jaylon Johnson, who after his rookie year certainly looks the part. Against the Rams, Johnson was one of the better players on the field for the Bears, and he and Chase should be a fun battle.

3. Tee Higgins vs Bears slot CB

Sticking with a WR vs DB matchup, this one may be a tough battle for the Chicago Bears. Make no mistake about it, this Bears secondary is one of the biggest weaknesses for this team. Coming into week one, many thought Duke Shelley was going to be the first option in the slot.

Shelley found himself on the inactive list so Marqui Christian was given more opportunity but the Rams offense had their way with Chicago’s secondary. Tee Higgins, is another very good slot WR and will be a handful for a weak Bears secondary.

Shelley being inactive was a bit of a surprise so it will be interesting to see if he plays next week against the Bengals.
