4. In and out of the huddle

Matt Nagy noted that there are so many little things that Fields will have to work on before he is entirely ready. He pointed out that these little things can add up and create problems. One of them is Fields speed in and out of the huddle.

He did not get flagged for delay of game, but it was obvious things were moving fast for Fields. He was moving fast between plays to keep up, and even still, he felt rushed to get to the line and get the snap-off in time.

In college, there are many pauses, and the game slows down, but in the NFL, you need to be onto the next play before the end of the current play. Fields looking rushed pre-snap led to issues post-snap, and that is not surprising. Still, now that Fields saw the pace of play for himself, he should adjust.
