2. False Starts

Justin Fields was surprisingly called for multiple false starts, which is not usually a QB penalty. Usually, a QB can help create the false start, but the lineman is the one who jumps. However, this was Fields, and he admitted as much post-game.

He noted that the refs told him he was flinching his hands. Fields said he did not realize he was doing it, but the refs telling him helped keep it in his mind.

You can believe that Justin Fields will spend the week focusing on minor details such as hand movement before the snap this week. We do not know these small things from the outside when evaluating whether Fields is ready.

And, once again, this could quickly go back to things needing to slow down. Whether he was shaking because he was frantic or just was not in the right headspace, knowing the issue and working on it will surely help.
