Sure, Roquan Smith was not being called out like Mack and Jackson. Still, this is the year that Smith was going to take the jump into an elite defender. It was his time to be a top-level linebacker and leader of the defense. The unit would go with him, and he would finally get the credit.

Through one week, his unit looked lost. Smith had to take responsibility as the man in the middle and the play-caller of the defense. He did just that on Sunday. Smith recorded a sack and took a pick to the house to put the game away.
