Chicago Bears: Matt Nagy continues to fail, already time to blow this team up
Matt Nagy has worn out his welcome as the Chicago Bears head coach
Alright, this team is not going to go anywhere with Matt Nagy as the head coach. This is where we are at right now. The Chicago Bears continue to struggle to find an offensive-minded coach to change things and help move this franchise into the pass-happy league it is nowadays.
Matt Nagy was supposed to be the opposite of John Fox and help bring this team into the current century. Nothing has changed though. The Bears’ offense continues to be in the bottom half of the league and it does not seem to matter who is playing quarterback.
We have seen Nick Foles verbally frustrated with Matt Nagy and his play-calling. We have seen Mitch Trubisky frustrated physically with Matt Nagy and his play-calling. After today, we have now seen Andy Dalton, Chase Daniel and Justin Fields all struggle to make this offense look like anything but a joke.
Nagy is a motivator, but that gets you only so far in the NFL. Eventually, players start to lose faith in you. If you constantly tell them to trust you — that your offense will work, it just needs time — but the offense never takes off, then the players will no longer trust you and your offense. This is what seems to be happening here within the Chicago Bears locker room. There already seemed to be a divide regarding the quarterback decision.
