Final Thoughts on Week 3: Chicago Bears at Cleveland Browns

With my blood pressure rising after that Matt Nagy tangent, I’ve taken some time to look at this game with a clear mind and heart, however, it’s impossible.

This game was by far the worst game of Chicago Bears football that I’ve ever witnessed, and yet, I don’t have much blame for the team.

All of my blame is directed at the person in charge; they had plenty of time to put a game plan together to at least stay competitive in this game.

The defense was doing awesome in the first half, yet after the absolutely horrendous offensive efforts, I don’t blame the defense for bending more and more.

Defense is highly focused on the unit’s energy, and when the energy is depleted via offensive incompetency, there’s only one shiny noggin to look at, and it’s Matt Nagy’s.

I’m not going to sit here and call for his job, however, if I’m above him, there’s got to be a very stern conversation had with execution being the saving grace for him.

Figure it out for the Chicago Bears, or figure it out for another team. Simply put, I’m leaning towards the latter of the two.

Let’s hope for a better game plan going into next week, as they play a very hungry 0-3 Detroit Lions team that plays a lot better than their record shows.
