Chicago Bears: 5 sneaky Lions players to watch in Week 4
By Pablo Rosero
Sneaky players the Chicago Bears must watch: Trey Flowers
Trey Flowers came over from the New England Patriots along with Matt Patricia and hasn’t lived up to his high-end free agent signing. Now, Flowers is still on the team and could be a thorn in the Bear’s side.
After a week where the Bears allowed nine sacks the team should key in on the Lions’ main pass rusher Romeo Okowra, but Flowers has proven in the past he is able to get after the quarterback.
If the Bears do key in on slowing down Okowra, the door could open for Flowers to prove his high price tag.
Sneaky players the Chicago Bears must watch: Penei Sewell
Penei Sewell is the one player that is difficult to consider as sneaky, but his value shouldn’t be undermined. He’s not the team’s best offensive lineman, that title goes to the team’s starting center Frank Ragnow, but he hasn’t done a bad job as a rookie.
Sewell should be a focal point in the run game this weekend and if the Bears can’t get around him, D’Andre Swift and Jamal Williams will gash them for major yards. Sewell will also be tasked with going up against both Robert Quinn and Kahlil Mack.
Sewell should end up being one of the best left tackles in all of football, but this weekend the Bears will need to find a way to take the rookie out of the game.
