Through four weeks, we are at basically the quarter mark. Teams play 17 games now, but it usually is around four games where we can recognize that something is a trend and should be considered normal moving forward. What that in mind, what are the biggest surprises on the Chicago Bears through three weeks? What has changed that many did think would be so just last month?

3. Darnell Mooney out producing Allen Robinson

Considering Allen Robinson is playing on the franchise tag and set to make top-tier money this offseason and Darnell Mooney is a 5th round pick in his second NFL season, it was easy for prognosticators to say that Robison would lead the team in receiving. Maybe Mooney would catch more big plays, but Robinson would be the offensive star. Not so fast.

Through four weeks, Mooney is outproducing Robinson in every function imaginable. He has 26 targets to 24 and 17 catches to 13. He has 226 yards to 149 and has more yards per catch and target than Robinson.

Mooney has more air yards and routes run. No matter how you put it, Mooney has more than Robinson through four weeks. This is becoming something consistent, so it may not be surprising if this holds up when we check back in week eight.
