1. Khalil Herbert

While unfortunate events caused it, the Khalil Herbert rise has been fun to watch. He started as a kick-off man, but when the team traded for Jakeem Grant, it was clear he would have a role on offense. From role on offense to 50/50 split with Damien Williams, Herbert impressed many by getting a slight edge in snaps on Sunday.

Now, Williams finishes his ascent and will start with the backfield all to himself. David Montgomery will miss this week and next week, while Damien Williams tested positive for COVID. We do not know William’s vaccination status, but he did opt out last year with concerns.

dark. Next. Sean Desai must do this vs Packers

This is huge because the Packers’ run defense has struggled recently. In ways, they invite the run to avoid giving up big passes. The Bears have to take advantage, especially because they have been run-heavy the past two weeks. Do not fear riding the rookie; he has proven well so far. This could be a big game for Khalil Herbert. Considering the blurriness of Williams return date, Herbert could be the mean with all the work for the next two games.
