Week 6 Game Preview: Chicago Bears vs Green Bay Packers
Predicting the outcome of the Chicago Bears vs Packers game
Before giving my prediction I want to include a story about what happened in the wild 1979 Bears win against the Packers at Soldier Field. The Bears absolutely dominated the Packers in a 61-7 victory with the leadership of quarterback, Bob Avellini and the very great Walter Payton.
As usual, there were many Packers fans in attendance. I was sitting in the North end zone with my girlfriend along with a good friend and his girlfriend. There were a group guys together a few rows in front of us.
Among them, one guy, in particular, kept screaming cheap shot after cheap shot at the Packers fans throughout the entire game. Early in the fourth quarter of this blowout, we had lots and lots of drunken Chicago Bears fans and lots and lots of drunken angry Packers fans. The guy insulting the Packers and their fans finally lit a fuse on this volatile situation.
He said something that led to a punch being thrown at him. Within a very short time, at least 75% of the end zone but probably more had guys throwing punches at one another. I laid back to successfully protect my girlfriend. However, I was very ticked off that the Bears security forces quite cowardly made no attempt to stop these fights until the chaos was down to a few skirmishes.
Laying back as they did made it much less safe for my girlfriend, every other woman in that crowd, and the guys as well who had to endure this violence.
With that in mind, my prediction is the Bears’ ferocious play against the Packers will lead to a Chicago victory. This win will be aided by a Bears balanced offense, their bend but don’t break defense, and clutch field goals by Cairo Santos. I see the final score for a Bears win at 27-24. I also predict that there may be more than a few fights between drunken fans in this game.
