The Chicago Bears must keep running the football

It is not a stretch to add two to five more carries to Herbert’s load from last their last game. However, it would be best if Ryan Nall or Artavis Pierce could do well with maybe 8-10 carries of their own to keep the pressure on the Packers’ front seven while also giving Herbert some time to rest up.

Matt Nagy and his coaches need to decide if it will be Ryan Nall or Artavis Pierce to replace Williams. My preference is to play Pierce over Nall because Pierce has the better combination of speed and size. At 207 pounds, he runs a 4.47.

Both of them are well-trained running backs as they both played for Oregon State in college. Nall is a bit of a bruiser at 232 lbs who fights for every yard so he would fit right in with a commitment to physically dominate the Packers with their run game.

However, I would still take the guy who is big yet can pick up more yards with his speed. As it turns out, the Bears are quite lucky that this season is the first in a long time when running back is one of their deepest if not their deepest position on offense. If the Bears win this game Ryan Pace and his scouts should get some credit for this continuing to find quality running backs in the mid to lower rounds of the draft.
