The Bears fell to 3-3 on the season after a loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Many fans were hoping the Justin Fields era would mark the end of the Packers’ dominance over the Bears that has dated back to when Brett Favre was the starter. Those fans will have to wait at least a little bit longer, as Aaron Rodgers once again led Green Bay to a win. The Packers improved to 5-1 and maintained sole possession of first place in the NFC North.

The Chicago Bears were unable to capitalize on the Packers’ injuries

It wasn’t just that the Bears lost to the Packers, but to make matters worse, they were defeated by a Packers team that was far from 100%. Cornerbacks Jaire Alexander and Kevin King, as well as two-time pro bowler Za’Darius Smith, didn’t play. Also, center Josh Myers left early on in the game and didn’t return. Despite their opponent’s compromised health, the Bears were unable to take advantage and lost by double digits.

Robert Quinn is on the COVID list

One of the biggest stories for the Bears this week is that defensive end Robert Quinn was placed on the COVID list on Tuesday. It is believed that Quinn is vaccinated, which gives him a better chance of playing soon, but his status for Sunday is still up in the air. This would be a huge loss for the Bears’ defense that has excelled at generating pressure and sacks through six weeks.

The trade deadline is approaching

With the NFL trade deadline less than two weeks away, there are several players the Bears may be looking to trade or trade for. At 3-3, it’s hard to say if the Bears will be buyers or sellers. Regardless, they have several players they could deal if they wanted to.

Here are some hot takes fans have about the Bears this week.
