The Chicago Bears should try and swap Allen Robinson for Xavien Howard

We will start with the most impactful out of all possible deals. The Bears have a clear need at cornerback — well, secondary help in general would be a big help. But, specifically, the Bears have no help for Jaylon Johnson at cornerback.

Kindle Vildor is allowing a near-perfect passer rating when targeted this season. As a fifth rounder from last year’s draft, Vildor never looked like he would end up being a major contributor. But, he’s been forced into the role due to a lack of competition after cutting Kyle Fuller.

With the Miami Dolphins currently 1-5, there is bound to be much change in the future for them. One of the changes will likely come with the team trading either Xavien Howard or Byron Jones, both of whom are earning pretty steep paychecks.

The Dolphins have other needs they will have to address, and might want to take a shot on Allen Robinson if they believe they could extend him after this season. A pairing of Jaylen Waddle and Robinson would be a strong duo for Miami going into the future. Then, it would be all about figuring out the quarterback solution.

For the Bears, getting a real ball hawk like Howard would immediately improve this defense. Chicago has been able to pressure the quarterback well so far this season, but need another playmaker back in the secondary. In Howard, they get just that.
